In the late 1960's, with the seminal Proto-Punk band The Stooges, Iggy Pop took the groundwork laid by Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground and brought it to fruition. Loud, raucous, violent and visionary, Iggy's Stooges predated the late Seventies Punk movement by a decade.
